Z.ai’s natively multimodal GLM-5.3-Flash checkpoint on Hugging Face (MIT). The card describes 320B total / 18B active parameters. Open weights are published; this size is not a consumer-laptop local runtime.
Google’s generally available Flash model for coding and agents (model code gemini-3.7-flash). Official pricing lists a free Developer API tier and an introductory paid rate of $0.75 / $3.75 per million tokens through 31 December 2026. An API key is required.
Open-weight DeepSeek V4 Pro checkpoint (MIT). The model card lists about 1.6T total / 49B active parameters and a 1M-token context. Weights can be downloaded; running them still needs substantial GPU capacity, so hosted use is not implied to be free.
SpaceXAI’s current flagship, built on Grok 4.5 for longer agent runs, coding, and visual work. Live in the API, Cursor, and Grok Build. API pricing is published at $2 / $6 per million tokens below 200k prompt tokens.

Anthropic’s July 2026 Opus release: default on Claude Max and the strongest model on Claude Pro. Official post positions it near Claude Fable 5 on coding and knowledge work at a lower stated cost. Not described as a free-tier model.
OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 family reached general availability on 9 July 2026 across ChatGPT, Codex, and the API. Official notes: free ChatGPT users can use Terra; Sol is the flagship on paid ChatGPT plans and the API. An API key is required for programmatic access.
Google’s Gemma 4 open models, including on-device sizes (E2B, E4B) and larger 26B MoE / 31B dense checkpoints. Official post: weights on Hugging Face, Kaggle, and Ollama; Apache 2.0. Smaller sizes are intended to run locally without a paid API.
